Roddick wins Memphis title

Top-seed and world number 6 Andy Roddick won the RMK Championships in Memphis, beating fifth seeded Czech player Radek Stepanek 7-5, 7-5 in the Final. Roddick’s 27th career title earned him $300,000. The win also helped Roddick improve his record for 2009 to seventeen wins against three losses. Stepanek, on the other hand, failed to win his second consecutive ATP Tour title; and now has a 1-5 career record against Roddick
