Manchester City hold Liverpool

Liverpool’s English Premier League title hopes suffered another blow as they failed to beat Manchester City at home, managing only a 1-1 draw. City took the lead when Craig Bellamy’s shot was deflected in by Alvaro Arbeloa. Dirk Kuyt, though, saved Rafael Benitez’s side the blushes, finishing from a Yossi Benayoun cross in the 78th minute. The result means Liverpool are now seven points behind table-toppers Manchester United. Meanwhile in other games, Fulham beat West Brom 2-0, and Newcastle drew 0-0 with Everton
